This is the three page spread from the 1988 Sears Wishbook for everything Nintendo. Look at all that fun. My favorite part is the “SORRY NOT AVAILABLE” under a photo for Tengen’s Gauntlet. As a kid, I didn’t know what that meant other than “OH MY GOD THIS MYSTERY GAME MUST BE INCREDIBLE.” There is no other way to know what that game is other than familiarity with the screen shot. I don’t know why The Adventure of Link was also not available. Maybe the release date was still unknown at the time the Wishbook went to the printers. Needless to say, the screen shot makes it seem like a “who cares” anyway.
